Toyota 48510-80274 Shock Absorber Assembly Front Right

1. Loosen the rear wheel lug nuts. Raise the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands. Remove the rear wheels. 2. Disconnect the speed sensor wiring from the rear wheels, then detach the wiring harnesses from the rear axle beam. 3. On vehicles with rear ride height control, detach the height control sensors from the axle beam. 4. Remove the clip at the front lower part of the rear wheel well, then separate the wheel well to access the axle beam pivot bolts. 5. Place a floor jack with a block of wood under each of the rear coil spring lower mounts and compress the shock absorbers about one inch. 6. Remove the bolts from the bottom of the shock absorbers. 7. Lower the axle beam slowly using the floor jacks until the coil springs can be removed. 8. Raise the axle beam and temporarily attach it to the shock absorbers.
