To remove the front bumper, first apply the parking brake and block the rear wheels. Then, lift the front of the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands. Disconnect the negative battery lead and any wiring that may interfere with bumper removal. Pry the bumper cover clips free from the fender, being careful not to damage either the bumper cover or the fender. Remove the bumper retention bolts from under the vehicle. Pull the bumper assembly from the vehicle and remove the bumper cover from the bumper unit by removing the upper and lower cover nuts/bolts. To reinstall, follow the reverse of the removal procedure.For the rear bumper removal, start by working in the trunk and pulling the carpet up. Pry the rubber grommets out and remove the rear bumper retention bolts. Pry the bumper cover from the rear body panel until the upper and lower metal clips are free. Pull the complete bumper assembly free and unscrew the upper and lower bumper cover nuts/bolts to remove the bumper cover. Before installing the bumper, reconnect the bumper cover clips by prying the bumper cover retention strip from the body. Position the retention strip on the corners of the bumper cover and push the retention clips into place. The rest of the bumper installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
