Toyota 17801-31090 Air Cleaner Filter Element Sub-Assembly

Replace the air filter at set intervals, inspecting it in between. For V8 models, the filter is in the engine compartment's right front corner. To replace, unlatch the cover clips, detach the hoses, and remove the cover. Remove the filter, clean the housing, and inspect. If dirty, replace it, if dusty, clean with compressed air. Never drive without a filter to avoid engine wear or fire. For V6 models, the filter is on the intake manifold plenum's right side. Open the clips, open the housing, and remove the filter. Clean the housing, inspect the filter, and replace if needed. If dusty, clean it with low-pressure air. Never operate the engine without the filter. Installation is the reverse of removal.
