To perform a replacement of the intake manifold, it is necessary to; first of all, disconnect the negitive cable from the battery if the vehicle has a head unit stereo be sure to have the activation code. Subsequently, dump the fuel pressure, unbolt, and tag the PCM's vacuum and PCV hoses that link to the manifold with other accessories such as the brake booster and the air conditioning idle-up valve. Disconnect the throttle body and the air intake plenum, next is the fuel rail and the injectors as a unit. Remove vacuum hoses between the EGA valve and vacuum modulator, make marks on the hoses, and then undo the EGA pipe from the manifold, thus placing the EGA part aside. As for the manifold, it should be unbolted from, and separated from the engine; Prior to this, the fuel return line should be disconnected from the lower portion of the cylinder head. Regarding installation, it is required to clean the mating surfaces of the intake manifold and cylinder head with lacquer thinner or acetone and in case the gasket looks oily, it is also necessary to check the manifold for warping and refinish it if it is required. Place a new gasket in between the manifold and the cylinder head, and fit the nuts/bolts when torquing them use three equal increments of turning the nuts/bolts till you get to the required torque while tightening the nuts/bolts, do not tight all of them on the same center to avoid warping the manifold. Bolt the rest of the parts as they were removed and ensure the throttle linkage moves freely before starting the engine and with the engine running check for leaks in the coolant and vacuum connections. Last but not least, for a final test, drive the car on the highway to check all the accessories and the cruise control system if installed.

Clearly label, then detach all remaining wires, hoses, and brackets still attached to the intake manifold and coolant outlets.
