To remove the windshield wiper motor, start by pulling off the black plastic cover for the wiper arm bolt for each wiper blade then unscrew the bolts. Identify the position of each of the wiper arms that they are to be connected to the shaft before removing both arms. Next, take off the cowl cover and unplug the electrical connector from the wiper motor, use the tab to press. With the help of some screws, it is easy to remove the wiper motor/linkage assembly; after that, one should check the rubber insulator and change it if it is worn out. Loosen and take off the crank arm retaining nut and then denote the position of the crank arm to the motor shaft; then remove the wiper motor mounting bolts to free the motor from the linkage assembly. Regarding the rear wiper motor, first, it is necessary to remove the protective cap of the wiper arm retaining nut, then unscrew the nut and note the position of the wiper arm based on the position of the motor shaft before removing the wiper arm. Lift the rear of the liftgate panel to disconnect the watershield if needed and then, unplug the connector to the wiper motor and then remove the two plastic caps that are around the motor's bolt hole. There are bolts that hold the rear wiper motor in place on the lift gate; therefore, you should first unlock the bolts, and then you should pull out the motor. The removal and installation procedures are opposite to each other for both the motors.
