The front windshield wiper motor is placed up to the left part adjacent to the firewall and facing the front engine compartment and the rear windshield wiper motor is located in the rear door. If the motor does not start at both speeds and does not park and the switch checks out, then it will be necessary to replace the wiper motor. First, remove the negative cable from the battery next, remove the windshield washer reservoir by unplugging it and pulling it straight up. Subsequently, remove the wires from the motor and then remove the four bolts that fix this particular unit; it is noteworthy that one of them connects the ground wire. Loosen the linkage arm from the motor using the screwdriver and pull out the motor out of the linkage arm and off the linkage arm. For installation, follow the above removal procedures in reverse, but make sure that the linkage pivots got a layer of grease before being fitted back, and final will be pushing the linkage arm in place on the motor crank arm. For the rear motor, pull the negative terminal out of the battery and pop the bolts holding the liftgate trim panel. The link that connects the motor to the crank arm must be unscrewed using a screwdriver and the electrical connector that connects the motor should also be removed, three mounting bolts should be unscrewed and the motor pulled off. Before removing the wiper arm and blade, one has to unscrew the wiper arm retaining nut. In its turn, installation occurs in the reverse order to the removal process.
