Align the filter hose with the groove in the side of the reservoir and replace all O-rings with new ones.

The fuel pump module contains the fuel pump, fuel level sender, fuel pressure regulator, and fuel filter.

To perform the fuel pressure test, ensure there is enough fuel in the tank. Relieve the fuel system pressure and disconnect the fuel line from the fuel rail. Use a fuel pressure gauge and attach it with fuel hose and clamps between the fuel rail and the fuel supply line. Turn on the ignition and check the fuel pressure. Start the engine and note the reading on the gauge. After five minutes, the pressure should not drop below the minimum "hold pressure". Disconnect the fuel pump wiring and connect a 12-volt battery between specific terminals. Check the fuel pressure and if it's not within specifications, check for possible issues such as a clogged fuel filter, restricted fuel line, leaking fuel injectors, or defective fuel pressure regulator or pump. Use an ohmmeter to check the electrical circuit. After testing, relieve the fuel pressure and remove the fuel pressure gauge. To check the fuel pump electrical circuit, inspect the SFI fuse and replace if blown. Check for a short in the circuit between the EFI main relay and the fuel pump, as well as the EFI relay. If the relays are fine but the fuel pump doesn't work, examine the wiring from the fuse/relay box to the fuel pump.
