Toyota 15103-38060 Rotor Set, Oil Pump

Apply a coat of petroleum jelly to the pump drive and driven rotors, then place the two rotors into position in the timing chain cover, ensuring that the pump marks (dimples) are facing out.

1. Remove the engine. 2. Remove the oil pan, oil pick-up tube, and strainer. 3. Remove the timing belt and number 1 and number 2 idler pulleys. 4. Remove the crankshaft timing sprocket and the crankshaft position sensor. 5. Remove the oil filter/cooler assembly. 6. Remove the eight mounting bolts and detach the oil pump from the front of the engine. If stuck, pry it off carefully. 7. Remove the O-ring from the engine block, then remove the plug from the bottom of the oil pump.
