How to remove and install the shift cable from the shifter assembly on 2003 through 2009 Toyota 4Runner?

First, unfasten the center console to get to the shifter assembly. Next, unlock the cable end from the shifter using the skinny flathead which removes the cable-pop-in pin that holds the cable.
