First, unfasten the center console to get to the shifter assembly. Next, unlock the cable end from the shifter using the skinny flathead which removes the cable-pop-in pin that holds the cable. Next, give the retaining clip a little pull to unlock the cable from the shifter bracket. Following that, use a jack to lift the car and support it on jackstands in that position. Carry on by unscrewing the nuts and bolts that hold the cable to the floor pan and then unclip the cable. Subsequent to this, unscrew the nut securing the end of the shift cable to the manual shift lever and unplug the shift cable, and in addition to that, take out the retainer clip. While feeding the cable through the body, a gentle motion should be used and for reverse the process of removal should be followed.
