The brake light switch is installed at the top of the brake pedal arm on a bracket and turns on the rear brake lights when the pedal is being pressed. To remove it, first, you should try to loosen the connection by disconnecting the negative terminal of the battery, then there is wiring harness that you will have to unclip from the switch. Then, unscrew the switch further and detach it from the pedal bracket, additionally, releasing the locknut. Installation on the other hand is done in a sequences that is reverse to the sequence of removal. For adjustment, loosening the locknut is done, position the switch so that the threaded part comes a little bit into touch with the pedal stop, and finally, fastening the locknut. Lastly, join back the wires at the switch and the battery to check out on the brake lights.
