To replace transaxle fluid, gather the specified fluid, jackstands, wrenches, a drain pan, newspapers and rags. Warm the vehicle, raise it on jackstands, and position the drain pan under the transaxle pan. Remove the drain plug, drain fluid, and reinstall the plug. Remove front transaxle pan bolts, loosen rear ones, and pry pan loose to drain remaining fluid. Remove filter retaining bolts, lower filter, and install a new one. Clean gasket surfaces of fluid pan, remove old gasket material, clean and reinstall magnets. Install a new gasket and fluid pan. Lower vehicle, add new fluid through dipstick tube, and check level. Start engine, shift selector into all positions, and recheck fluid level.
