Remove the four bolts securing the unit and lift it out. Disconnect the cables from the levers, detach their collars, and jack up the car. Underneath, remove the bolts securing the cables' floor plate. Draw the cables through from inside the car. In the engine compartment, remove the clips holding the cables to the transmission bracket.
