Remove the upper and lower steering column covers. Disconnect the electrical connector from the ignition switch, then remove the ignition switch retaining screws and take the switch out of the Ignition Lock Cylinder housing, with installation being the reverse of removal. Place the ignition key in the ACC position, then use an awl or punch to depress the Ignition Lock Cylinder retaining pin and remove the Ignition Lock Cylinder from the housing. To install the lock cylinder, depress the retaining pin and guide the lock cylinder into the housing until the retaining pin extends back into the locating hole. The remainder of installation follows the reverse of removal.
