The above stated procedure is followed for the front and rear wheel studs. Start by removing the wheel lug nuts before lifting the car and placing it on sturdy jack stands, then remove the wheel. Next, take off either the brake disc or the brake drum. Thread one of the lug nuts part way onto the stud that is to be removed, then use a hydraulic press to push the stud out of the hub flange. Thread the new stud through the hub flange from the rear, put a few flat washers and a nut on it. Turn the lug nut another half turn to push the stud completely into the flange following a proper fitment. Last but not the least, fit the brake drum or disc, fit the wheel and the bolts, drop the vehicle and finally tighten the bolts.
