The procedure can be done to any exhaust manifold with either design. Start with the removal of the cable in question from the negative terminal of the battery. Next, lift the front part of the car and support it on the jack stands, and if the condition of the jackstand is questionable, replace it with a better one. Remove the front exhaust pipes from the exhaust manifolds, first of all, and then, disconnect the upstream oxygen sensors' electrical connections. Disconnect the exhaust manifold support bracket by unscrewing the three bolts of the component. Subsequently, undo the bolts that attach the exhaust manifold and then take out the exhaust manifold. Remove the old exhaust manifold gasket off the car. For installation, reverse the removal steps, ensuring to use a new gasket with the oval-shaped protruding tip facing the correct direction: it should be placed to the rear for the left manifold and to the front for the right manifold. Last of all, use a wrench to snug the exhaust manifold nuts to the required level of torque.
