- A:Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery. Remove the glove box lid, the glove box and the dash panel underneath the glove box. Remove both vent duct screws and the vent duct. Disconnect the blower motor electrical connector, remove the blower motor mounting screws and remove the blower motor. To remove the blower motor, unplug the electrical connector, disconnect the air cooling tube from the motor and remove the three mounting screws. Caution: If the stereo in your vehicle is equipped with an anti-theft system, look at the information on page 0-15 at the front before detaching the cable. Remove the glove compartment. Disconnect the wiring from the blower motor and detach the rubber air duct running between the motor and the evaporator housing. Working under the blower motor assembly, remove the rubber air duct, the forward wiring connection, and the rear wiring connection. Remove the blower unit retaining screws and lower the unit from the housing. If you are replacing the motor, detach the fan and transfer it to the new motor. Installation is the reverse of removal.
