Toyota 12111-0S011 Pan, Oil, NO.1

1. Drain the engine oil and remove the oil filter. 2. Remove the engine from the vehicle. 3. For 2UZ-FE engines, remove the timing belt, the number 1 and number 2 idler pulleys, the crankshaft pulley, and the crankshaft sensor. Note: This step is unnecessary if the oil pump isn't being removed. 4. Remove the oil dipstick tube from the engine. 5. Remove the oil filter, oil cooler, and oil filter bracket assembly from the engine. 6. Remove the bolts and nuts securing the lower steel oil pan and detach it, using a small screwdriver or putty knife if necessary. 7. Remove the baffle plate from the bottom of the engine. 8. Remove the bolts and nuts securing the upper oil pan to the engine block and detach it, using a small screwdriver or putty knife if necessary. 9. Remove the oil pump strainer.

Apply a 3/16-inch wide bead of RTV sealant to the flange of the upper oil pan.
