Raise the rear of the vehicle and support it on jackstands, then remove the strut rod nut and retainer. Next, take off the engine under cover and remove the strut rod retaining nut and bolt along with the cushion from the body side. After that, take off the cushion collar and retainer from the strut rod on the lower arm side and remove the rod. To replace the strut rod, install the retainer, collar, and cushion on the lower arm side of the rod, then temporarily install the strut rod to the lower arm. Following this, temporarily install the strut rod holding bolt and nut with the cushion to the body. Replace the wheels and tighten the wheel lug nuts finger tight, then lower the vehicle and tighten the wheel lug nuts. Finally, rock the vehicle up and down to settle the suspension and tighten the strut rod holding nuts on both the lower arm side and body side to the specified torque.
