To remove the differential, first raise the rear of the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands, blocking the front wheels to prevent rolling, and place the transaxle in Neutral with the parking brake off. Drain the differential lubricant, then remove the fuel tank and rear exhaust pipe. Next, take out the driveshaft and the rear differential support brace bolts. Disconnect the electromagnetic harness and breather clamp, then remove the breather tube. Remove the rear driveaxles from the differential and secure them out of the way. Support the differential with a floor jack and remove the front and rear differential to body mounting fasteners, then slowly lower the jack to take the differential out of the vehicle. For installation, reverse the removal process, ensuring all fasteners are tightened and the differential is filled with the proper lubricant.
