Take off the timing belt and the sprocket for the camshaft, if any, in the vehicle. For models form 2005 or later, remove the liming tube from the end of the camshaft. Just observe where deep the seal is inserted in the bore and with the help of the screwdriver gently remove the seal paying attention to the fact that the tip of the screwdriver shouldn't harm the bore or the camshaft because such a misdeed can lead to leakage in connection with the new seal. Scrub the bore and put a thin layer of engine oil or multi-purpose grease on the outer side of the new seal. With the help of a socket which is slightly smaller in the outer diameter than that of the seal, gently hammer in the new seal until it goes in to an even depth as the first one by aligning the outer edge of the socket with the outer edge of the seal; a short section of the pipe may also be used in case of where a socket is not available. Install the camshaft sprocket(s) and timing belt again, start the engine and look for oil leaks in the region of the camshaft seal.
