The inboard end of each Axle Shaft is connected to the transaxle by a side gear shaft, which can be easily replaced if necessary. The outboard ends of the Axle Shaft are splined to the axle hubs and locked in place. The splined inboard ends of the Axle Shaft have sliding tripod joints that allow for both angular and axial motion. These joints are rebuildable.
