For the 2001 through 2003 models, to press the hub and bearing off the steering knuckles, one needs special tools and skills, hence should be left in the hands of the mechanic shops. To gain access to the joint for the 2004 and later models, the steering knuckle has to be unbolted first. Next, install the knuckle assembly into a vise with soft clamps and then off the four augmented screws of the hub assembly and lastly the dust plate. The process of installation is the opposite of removal while making sure that all the fasteners are tightened.
