The following procedure applies to either exhaust manifold, First, you should remove the cable that is connected to the negative end of the battery. After that, safely rod up the front part of the car on jackstands, but before that on models having rear height control suspension, press the height control switch in the NORMAL mode, turn it off, and switch off the engine. Next, remove the front muffler pipes from the exhaust manifold and finally, remove the electrical connectors of the upstream oxygen sensors. Next, unbolt the three bolts on the shroud of the exhaust manifold support bracket and then take the bracket off. Go on and unbolt the six nuts on the exhaust manifold and then take out the manifold proper and dispose of the old exhaust manifold gasket. Installation is the reverse of removal, ensuring to use a new gasket with the oval-shaped protruding tip facing the correct direction, for the first part of the left manifold the tip needs to be positioned to the rear, and for the second part of the right manifold, the opposite is true. Last, but not least, fasten the exhaust manifold nuts to the indicated amount of torque.
