The tools used may include interior and exterior snap-ring pliers, a bearing puller, a slide hammer, a set of punch tools, dial indicator, hydraulic press possibly and strong working table with vise or transfer case stand. It should also be noted that much attention should ber paid to the documentation of the positions and connections of each of the components, during the disassembly stage, for easy reassembly. Furthermore, the knowledge of the malfunctioning section in the transfer case can make the investigation as well as the replacement of specific components to be less complicated.
